Board of Education Accepts Generous Donations to Benefit Emporia High School Programs
Emporia, KS—At its Wednesday evening Board meeting, the Board of Education proudly accepted and approved two generous donations that will greatly benefit students at Emporia High School.
The first donation, a $10,000 memorial gift from the Emil Babinger Charitable Trust in honor of Steven L. Davis, was accepted on behalf of the Emporia High School Theatre Program. The funds will offset program costs and enhance the educational and performance opportunities for theatre students.
The second donation, a $1,000 contribution from Witten Construction, will support the Spartan Stop at EHS. This donation will directly meet students’ needs, ensuring that they have access to essential resources that promote their well-being and academic success.
Emporia Public Schools is deeply appreciative of these and all donations provided by our generous community. Dr. Allison Anderson-Harder, Superintendent, stated, “The support from organizations, families, and individuals like these is a testament to the strong partnership between the school district and the community. These contributions have a lasting impact on our students and programs, and we are truly grateful for the investment in their future.”
These gifts demonstrate the ongoing commitment of community members to enriching the educational experience for all students. Emporia Public Schools extends heartfelt thanks to the Emil Babinger Charitable Trust, Witten Construction, and all contributors for their unwavering support.
