About Mrs. Thomas

     Hello! My name is Helen Thomas and I have been teaching at Walnut for many years! Although I have taught kindergarten, as well as second grade and third grade, fourth grade is my real love. There is nothing more exciting to me than to see eyes light up as students understand a new concept. Favorite activities of the year are going to the one-room school on the ESU campus and visiting the Capitol and the State Historical Museum in Topeka.

     In our spare time, my husband and I love spending time with family and playing with our grandchildren. We also travel whenever possible, watch the Chiefs, and cheer on the Jayhawks during basketball season.
