Mr. Terry has continued to be involved in the community since
graduation. He is a former member and president of the Emporia
Recreation Commission and Lyon County Community Center Board of
Directors. He was a member of the Human Relations Commission and
the Emporia State University Endowment Association. Mr. Terry
also has been active in Cub Scouts, Hi Noon Kiwanis and the
William Allen White School Parent Teacher Association. Mr. Terry
worked in the dry cleaning business for 48 years and has won
many awards from the National Institute of Dry Cleaning.
Mr. Terry exemplifies the golden rule as well as anyone can,
his nomination states.
