Eric Johnson graduated from Emporia High School in 1978. He participated in
debate and forensics, The Echo newspaper staff, junior and senior class boards, and
tennis. Throughout high school, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average and received the
Extra Step Award.

After graduation, he attended Emporia State University and the University of class of 174 graduates. In 1994, he received the Director’s Award for Superior
Performance from the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, U.S. Department of Justice.
He works as an assistant U.S. Attorney, Organized Crime Strike Force district of Nevada.

One cannot attain what Eric Johnson has without the attributes of character that
would make any hometown proud. Eric is hard working, conscientious, loyal and
dedicated to using his legal skills to create a better country, his nomination reads.
