Model United Nations is to study international world problems in a simulation type setting.
Students meet to research topic areas, write speeches, and to practice parliamentary procedure.
Those students meeting the requirements are allowed to participate in Model United Nations competitions in the state.

About 800 students from around Kansas participated in the 43rd annual Model United Nations in Topeka at the Kansas Expocenter on March 5th and 6th. Mary Yanik, club president, served as the President of the Economic and Social Council II and Gretchen Schreiber, club parliamentarian, served as the Vice-President of the Political Council II. Xuan Lam, Armando Ortiz Jr., Zeida Chea, Eddy Mongkhanvilay, and Lucky Viravong represented the country of Laos and won the group costume contest
