Students exhibiting a positive attitude may receive a Most Valuable Attitude Card from a staff member. They redeem their MVA cards for a coupon for a free dessert at McDonald's on Industrial and they are eligible for prizes from area business in weekly drawings which are held each Friday. Make sure your name is legible. MVA cards are color coded and are valid for one week only.

Attendance
Students with perfect attendance for the year will be named to the Perfect Attendance Club(PAC) and rewarded with an end of the year party. The party, sponsored by Subway, will feature food and many prizes.

Those with improved attendence during the year will also be rewarded.

REMEMBER ONE UNEXCUSED ABSENCE WILL ELIMINATE YOU FROM ANY ATTENDANCE AWARD.

Scholarships
EHS seniors can be eligible for a $500 scholarship to ESU, KSU, and KU if they meet the following criteria:
1. Minimum GPA of 3.0(cumulative)
2. No unexcused absences during the school year
3. No F's during the school year
4. Two completed teacher recommendations
5. Completed essay
6. Confirmed admittance to college

A-B-C Award (Above & Beyond the Call)
The senior that receives this award will also win $50.
A student that follows the following criteria:
• Involved in school and community activities
• Does not receive much recognition
• Good attendance
• Good academics
• Good attitude
• Completes assignments accurately and on time
• Works well with others
Has a chance to be nominated by a teacher.
This award will reward a student who consistently puts forth their best effort and goes "Above and Beyond the Call."

Renaissance Car Award
Three car dealers from Emporia ( John North Ford, Longbine Auto Plaza , and Emporia Motors) have joined together to provide a pre-owned car to be given away during the month of May.To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
1. GPA of 2.5 or better for the first three quarters
2. No F's during the year
3. No unexcused absences
4. No more than 10 excused absences during the year
5. No more than 10 tardies during the year
6. No referrals or administrative disciplinary action during the year
7. Signed parental permission slip for car ownership
