All tutorials use this site as an example. The tutorials deal only with setup of the FTP publishing options in the programs. General information in the tutorials should be helpful even if you're using a web authoring application or FTP client not listed above.

General Info:

Your default document (the home page of your web site) should be named "index.html", "index.htm" or "default.htm". The web server will serve up the first one it finds, in that order. If a different name is needed for your default home page please email or call me.

Your posting options are:

• FTP - Recommended, although only available within the school district intranet because of security issues.
• Local Area Network Connection - PCs only in special circumstances.

You can no longer publish by mounting Apple share folders on your desktop.
