Something About Me: I earned both my BSED and Masters in Counselor Education from Pittsburg State University. I have taught 4th thru 8th grade (language arts and Title I reading) as well as being a school psychometrist. I began as school counselor with USD 253 in 1989. My title changed from school counselor to student support specialist when Timmerman was opened in 2003. The new title describes my additional involvement with every child. My husband Danny is an associate professor at ESU. Our son graduated in May 2007 from ESU and is teaching for the Seaman School District. Our daughter graduated from ESU with a degree in accounting and presently is busy taking care of her 5 year old daughter and twin 1 year old sons. Something About What I Do: I believe that good social/emotional health is the foundation that we build upon. I work with school staff, administration, parents, and community agencies to provide a successful educational experience for each student, building on that foundation. Following is a list of some of the things I do:
Note to Timmerman Parents: Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child. I am here for the parents, too. As a parent (and grandparent) I know parenting isn't easy. I have resources (videos and books) available for check out. Please feel free to call me at school, email or stop by my office, located next to Mr. Kirk's office. I truly enjoy working with your children!
