Social and Emotional Competencies
There are unique Social and Emotional competencies that students in each grade level should be able to demonstrate. These competencies make up the framework that supports the lessons and activities that are located in this site. There is a certain format to the way the competencies are established, based upon what is felt is a logical progression in the way students learn about themselves, others, and how to move safely in their present and future learning and living environments. It is for this reason the following documents are provided for your convenience. Each of the links outlines the social and emotional competencies as well as where these comptencies link to the learning standards for Health, Social Studies (e.g., Civics/Government, Economics, Geography, Kansas/United States/World History), Communications (e.g, Listening, Speaking, Reading, Literature), and Physical Education,
