Beginning in January, parents will have the option to monitor their child’s meal account balance and make payments using the EZSchoolPay online system.

Starting January 2, online payments using VISA or MasterCard credit or debit cards can be made anytime from any location that has internet access. The funds will be deposited automatically into the child’s account and the account will be updated within 15 minutes.

No service fee will be charged for parents who create an account to monitor their child’s meal account balance online and continue to make payments to the school by check or with cash.

The service provider, eTritionWare, will charge a 6% fee for online payment transactions and the fee will be added to parents’ credit card statements. There are no fees paid to the school or school district.

Parents will have access to the secure EZSchoolPay website through the district home page, www.usd253.org and each school web site. Instructions for setting up the account will be available online.

For more information about this new online service, parents can call or email Jill Vincent, Food Service Director, 341-2382, jvincent@usd253.org.
