Emporia Middle School

Home of the Junior Spartans

More than 300 sixth grade students and teachers spent the day at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in neighboring Chase County on Friday. Emporia Middle School teachers created 24 stations for the students to complete activities related to science, technology, reading, engineering, the arts, and math on the prairie. The day was one of three STREAM days in the district calendar this year. The STREAM project is a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant that allows all Emporia schools to extend learning beyond the classroom.

Welcome to the 2015-16 School Year!
