Hopkins Awards

The E. L. and Z. Irene Hopkins Foundation has established awards to recognize the outstanding performance of Emporia teachers and school support staff.

Nomination forms are available at all Emporia public schools and the Mary Herbert Education Center, 1700 West 7th. Forms are also available on the district’s website. Nominations can be submitted by students, parents, and co-workers. The deadline for entries is March 10 and nominations are limited to current staff in the Emporia Public Schools.

Above, the cold reality of Polar Plunge hits teachers from Riverside Elementary School as they participate in the fund raising event for Special Olympics. The mid-winter dip took place Saturday at Mouse Lake in Emporia.
