Odysseyware Student Guidelines

·        You must score 80% on each assignment in order to go on to the next assignment.

·        If there is an answer that has a box in which you must type an answer, then answer it.  If you do not answer it, the teacher will put in a zero and it will bring your grade down. 

·        On a quiz or test, you will have three tries.  If you score less than 50%, the teacher will reassign the whole quiz or test.  If you score more than 50%, the teacher will reassign only those questions that you have missed.  After we have reassigned the quiz or test twice, whatever you score on your third attempt will be your grade for that quiz or test.  The quizzes and tests are weighted more than the assignments, so if you receive a low score, it will bring your grade down. 

·        After you type in your answer in the answer box, make sure you click on SAVE.  If you don’t, it won’t send your answer to the teacher.

·        If you want to search for information on the page, click the “edit” button in Firefox and select “Find in this page.” A small window will pop up at the bottom left of the screen with the word “Find” beside it. Type in a key word to search for. For example: if the question asks you something about protozoa, type in the word “protozoa” and click the “previous” arrow on the right of the small window. This will take you to where the word is located in the reading at the top of the page and you can see what it says. Clicking the “previous” button again will take you to the next place the word appears, etc. This will only search the assignment you are in, so on a quiz or test you will have to go back to the assignment where the information is located to search for it.

·        Always remember to click on FINISH ASSIGNMENT.
