Assignments:You are to:

1. Complete the Art Appreciation exercises in Destinations on the computers at school.

2. Complete and hand in nine artist profiles. You will find the printable form here.

3. Write three essays on Architecture.

4. Write two essays on Architects.

5. Write one essay on a Sculptor.

6. Write three essays on Painters.

7. Write three essays on Drawing Artists.

8. Write one essay on a Photographer.

9. Complete the Compton's Excursion on Greek and Roman Art (printable form here).

10. Complete the Compton's Excursion on Romanticism (printable form here).

11. Complete the Compton's Excursion on the Renaissance (printable form here).

12. Take the final exam.

Your grade will be calculated in the following manner: 80% of the grade comes from the average of assignments number one through eleven. 20% of the grade is the final exam. Good Luck!

Bear in mind, that "less is NOT better" when completing these profiles and essays. Be explicit and very complete in your research summaries. You will need to read, take notes, and summarize the information for each profile and essay. If you find it difficult to find information on any phase of this course, rely on Compton's Topic Tree- The Arts, to assist you or ask the instructor.

 REMEMBER: Take time to view the camera entries for each artist to view their works. You will be graded on how thorough you are in your research and completion of your essays. As always, please type all essays and hand in with your name, what the assignment is, and the date.

Complete an artist profile on each of the following:
