Good Morning!!!
Congratulations to Bryan Sandoval for qualifying to represent Emporia Middle School at the Kansas State Geography Bee in April. May the force be with you, Bryan!
Attention 7th and 8th grade boys, if you are planning to participate in the baseball club please make sure you have an assumption of risk form turned into Mrs. Young or Mr. Welch by Friday, March 12th.
Students interested in participating in Track & Field, don’t forget to sign up outside of Mr. Rathbone’s room (B19). There will be an informational meeting on Monday, March 22nd from 2:45-3:45 and a shuttle bus will be provided. Students must have a physical on file in the nurse’s office by Monday, March 22nd. The first day of practice will be Tuesday, March 23rd.
Congratulations to Gavin Youngberg for winning yesterday’s college challenge question. The answer to the question was Iowa State University where Mrs. Terrell received her bachelor of business degree. Gavin, be sure to stop by Mrs. Terrell’s room B2 to pick up your prize.
Today’s College of the day is: University of Kansas –Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
The Challenge Question is: Which EMS teacher received a degree from a university located in Olathe, Kansas and what is the name of the university. Be sure to get your answer to Mrs. Terrell in room B2 before the end of lunch today to be eligible for today’s prize drawing.
Attention staff and students: don’t forget to wear your favorite college t-shirt or school colors on Friday.
The Quest Activities for today are: Lego Robotics (Stage), Movie & Popcorn (C6), ESU 8th Grade TRIO (B18), and Academic Achievers for teams 8-1 and 8-2.
