FEA is the Future Educators of America for students who may want to pursue a career in education.



*This year FEA has delivered signs for the Emporia Public Library promoting the Fall Book Sale.

*FEA participates in a variety of activities. They have toured the National Teachers' Hall of Fame, William Allen White House, the Union Station Science City, and the Brown vs. Board of Education Museum in Topeka.

*Some members read to elementary students after school during Red Ribbon Week, while others complete community service and tutoring throughout the school year.

*Members celebrated American Education Week by honoring teachers with a poem and a candy treat. At the end of the semester, a banquet will be held sharing accomplishments and awarding top contributors.

*During Red Ribbon Week, some members will read to elementary and intermediate schools during October 27 - 31.

*Students hope to earn money by working concession stands at sporting events.

*FEA will recognize teachers during American Education Week and Teacher Appreciation Week with treats and a "thank you" verse.

*Members donated time to the Emporians for Drug Awareness haunted house.

*FEA designed new gold t-shirts with a school bus and red apple.

*FEA won third prize in the homecoming poster contest.

*Some members attended the EHS leadership conference.

*FEA member Becca Eichler attended the teacher academy in June at ESU.

*Dates and locations of field trips has yet to be determined.

*Members will clock a minimum of 10 hours of Community Service this year.
