EHS Student Wins National Gold Key Award in Art
Kyle Pedersen, an Emporia High School junior, has received a National Gold Key Award in the 2015 National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for a jewelry piece, “Spurs.”
This is the highest award a high school art student can earn and one of only 23 received this year by Kansas students. His artwork will be on exhibit around the country for two years, according to Joshua Pavlik, EHS Art Department Chairperson.
Kyle is a student of art teacher Jan Spade and his is the son of Shaun and Amy Pedersen of Emporia.
